Pelindaba Lavender Multi-Purpose (& Multi-Amazing!) Hydrosol & Giveaway

Pelindaba Lavender Hydrosol
Now that it’s officially summer, it’s time to change the game for my “Summer of Lavender!” I’m so impressed by this next product, I’m launching a GIVEAWAY so you can try it too! Pelindaba’s Multi-Purpose Lavender Hydrosol is a one-stop-shop for personal care, household cleaning, disinfecting and much, much more. I kind of want to buy a holster so I can just carry it around with me all day! Not only is it incredibly useful, it’s 100% all-natural and certified organic, so you don’t have to worry about spraying nasty chemicals around your home, your children and your pets! So what can this product do? The better question is, what can’t it do?

Disclaimer: I was not compensated for this post, but I did receive samples to try. All opinions are my own. Now, on with the show…

First off, what is Lavender Hydrosol? We all know lavender’s calming, therapeutic, and fragrant qualities, but it turns out this wonderful plant is much more powerful than we give it credit for. Lavender is also a healing antiseptic, a potent natural insect repellant, and a solvent with a wide range of cleaning properties. Pelindaba’s organic Hydrosol is produced during the steam distillation of essential Lavender oil. It’s also known as floral water, but I call it an army in a bottle! Here are just a few of its uses:

*Rinsing/cleaning/healing skin abrasions and cuts
*Cooling/soothing sun burn
*All-natural wet wipe for infant/adult hygiene
*Calming infants when used as a room or car spray
*Washing fresh fruit/vegetables (safe to spray around food)
*Cleaning countertops, cutting boards, sinks, floors, and other surfaces
*No-scrub daily shower spray to remove/prevent mildew
*Non-streaking window & glass cleaner
*Insect repellant (Great use for summer camping trips, bring it along!)
*Plant spray for both indoor and outdoor plants, helping rid them of aphids, mealy bugs, etc

My favorite thing about this product is that it can replace so many of the chemical-filled products we use. It’s a wonderful all-natural alternative that I feel good about cleaning with.

I tested out the Hydrosol around my house and here are the results:

Mirror cleaner: It did cut through gross, old toothpaste stains and hairspray film and it left the glass streak-free and crystal clean. It required a little extra scrubbing, spraying and wiping. I used a couple sheets of paper towel, but a soft cloth might work better.

Dog Bowl Cleaner: My dog’s plastic bowl holder gets dirty in a hurry. The plastic underneath where her metal bowl goes gets crudded up with food and god knows what else. The Hydrosol did manage to cut through much, but not all of the caked-on filth. To be fair, we’re really bad about cleaning it, so much of that stuff has been sitting for quite a while.

Other Things I Cleaned: Cell phone, computer screen, eye glasses, sunglasses, shower curtain (to help remove/prevent mildew) – this one I love because we NEVER, ok rarely, clean the bathroom tub/shower curtain!.
