Washington Park Arboretum

washington park arboretum Happy Mother’s Day to all moms (of the furry and human variety) wherever you are! I had a wonderful afternoon celebrating my mom who is visiting Seattle from Florida this week. We were so lucky! Together, we discovered a stunning new-to-us park in Seattle, the Washington Park Arboretum and Japanese Gardens.

I could throw out a million adjectives like gorgeous, beautiful, and incredible all day long, but words really can’t begin to describe the beauty we encountered on our outing. It was well worth the visit. My mom loves, Loves, LOVES flowers. I mean, loves! She successfully guessed the Washington state flower is the Rhododendron without even batting an eyelash, so I knew this would be the perfect spot for us to wander and make memories for her special day.

Here’s a little peek at our visit. How did you celebrate mom – or be celebrated today? 20140511-174619.jpg 20140511-174650.jpg 20140511-174709.jpg 20140511-174724.jpg 20140511-174737.jpg 20140511-174801.jpg 20140511-174815.jpg
